We ought this typical portuguese country house in five years ago and renovated it completely with additional insulation, a new roof, triple glazed windows but trying to maintain aspects of its traditional touches. The loft is completely self sufficient with a modern kitchen area and bathroom. We live in a separate part of the house and have built up a large biodiverse garden and fruit and vegetable growing area where we receive volunteers to train them in organic and syntropic farming techniques. Our village is quiet with a local cafe and shop nearby. We have lovely walks around the house and two lakes nearby.
