  • El Pla del Remei (luxurious. Full of nightlife and shopping)
  • Russafa (trendy)

Walk round any corner and you’ll find something worth seeing. The old and the new stand side by side. Valencian traditions have a strong presence here.

Gaze up at the Art Nouveau architecture.

Stroll in the sun down wide boulevards.

Browse the stores on Carrer Colón – Valencia’s most exclusive shopping street.

Enjoy the chic bars, restaurants and nightclubs of Russafa (Spanish: Ruzafa). It’s Valencia’s trendiest barrio.

Why not try out one of the many burger bars? The Black Turtle is known for its interesting variations on the theme. Pancake burger, anybody?

Just around the corner from is Ubik. It’s a bookshop and café in one. It has attentive staff and vegetarian options. Some consider it the heart and soul of Russafa.

This area really comes to life during the Las Fallas festival in March. The street lights and illuminations in Russafa are magical. (Think Christmas multiplied by ten.)

Eixample is Valencian for ‘extension’. This neighbourhood grew from the old city in the late 1800s, swallowing up the former village of Russafa. Expansionist!
