If you’re a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n’ roll, you’ll adore this studio house to rent on Paul-Junius-Strasse. You’re living in your own rustic bungalow in the middle of Berlin. It’s a cool open-plan space with a warm vibe. Your bedroom is in the mezzanine. You’ll have to climb the steep stairs to get there, though. On the ground floor, you have the fully-equipped kitchen, dining, and living space. The kitchen is a sweet spot with a 2-seat counter table. It also includes a dishwasher. The rest of the room is furnished with a huge retro-style sofa, lots of shelving, and a TV. You also get access to a terrace and garden, which is shared with the landlord. The bathroom is small, but has a shower and a heated towel rack. There is also a washing machine on the premises.
Lichtenberg has had a reputation for being wild, but things are calming down. The area has a strong Asian culture and more recently an increasing number of young families have been moving in. With Lichtenberg Park to the south of your new home, and Fennpfuhlpark to the north, it’s easy to see why people want to live here. There is still a rebellious push in parts of this interesting area, though. And you’ll find enough clubs and bars, if that’s part of your lifestyle. You’ll also discover some fascinating museums, as well as shops and restaurants near the Frankfurter Allee Metro station, which is 20 minutes south of your new home.
