That's right, Tor Vergata has a special youthful ambience, and it's all thanks to those who attend the University of Rome II (Tor Vergata).
Quiet and affordable, this has to be one of Rome's most authentic neighbourhoods.

What can I do here?
Tor Vergata is mostly residential, but you can still find places to spend time with your friends.
In the southern parts of the district, you can find large stores and a couple of shopping centres.
Tor Vergata isn't a place with many cultural attractions, but at least it doesn't attract large crowds of tourists.
Hungry? This is a student area, so there are a few bars and restaurants for you to tuck into.
You should try Spizzala. The pizzas there are widely considered to be excellent. Burgers and craft beers are also on the menu. They even open in the morning, providing American or Italian-style breakfasts.
Sporty fact
In Tor Vergata, you'll find the City of Sport. It was part-constructed in a bid for the 2020 Olympics. The Prime Minister cancelled both the project and bid in 2010. He cited rising costs: it had so far cost €660 M and would need another €430 M for completion. Spenny!
