This 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Calle de Valderribas is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet space away from tourist hotspots. When you walk in through the door, you’ll find the cozy and fully equipped kitchen and laundry room directly in front. A little further down the hall, there is a contemporary bathroom with a shower stall, a bright exterior bedroom with a double bed and large wardrobe, and the spacious dining and living room. This is a fabulous area with a modern feel. Natural light spills in from the mini-solarium, which is also where the 4-seat table is located. It’s additionally furnished with a big comfy sofa, shelving and a TV. This is definitely a space where you can settle in and make yourself at home.
You not only have a quiet apartment, but the entire neighborhood is rather peaceful. Although Retiro is a central neighborhood, it’s far enough away from the busy tourist spots that you don’t ever have to worry about crowds. There are three supermarkets in your immediate vicinity, and there are a couple of bars and restaurants nearby too. For a night out, you can head over to the cinema, which is a 15-minute walk or an 8-minute drive away. You are also roughly 15 minutes from the spectacular El Retiro Park. However, if you prefer to avoid hotspots, Cerro del Tio Pio, which is a little farther away, might be a more ideal space to get away from it all.
What we liked the most
- The apartment has a dishwasher, a separate laundry room and a spectacular little solarium in the living area.
- There are a few bars and restaurants close to the apartment.
- Supermarkets are easy to access, and there are three of them within walking distance.
- The neighborhood is quiet and you are situated between two wonderful parks.

- The Atocha railway station is a 10-minute drive away, but you can also just walk there in about 25 minutes.
