Malasaña: This neighborhood has the best of both worlds, it is both a traditional and an alternative neighborhood because it harbors different vibes by day than by night. Like many traditional neighborhoods it has charming boutiques and plenty of restaurants, but it also has plenty of nightlife opportunities that will always have you entertained. In Malasaña it is impossible to feel bored because it is one of the hippest parts of the city, which is why a lot of people choose to gather in the Plaza de 2 de Mayo as a main gathering point or also in up-and-coming locations such as Calle Corredera de San Pablo and Calle Prez; where the spirit of the Movida Madrileña of the 1980 still lives.
