Spotahome's opinion
This studio apartment is available to rent in a building on Via Andrea Doria. The studio is located in an apartment which contains 2 other studios; they share an entrance and a washing machine, but are otherwise fully independent. This studio includes a double bed, and has a kitchenette that can be hidden away. There is AC, and a flatscreen TV included. The bathroom is a comfortable size and includes a standing shower.
Living in Vaticani, you get a slightly quieter life than in the Centro Storico, but are still right next to all of the best that Rome has to offer. This area is full of great restaurants and useful local shops. Although popular with tourists (it is next to Vatican City after all), it has a slower pace to it. There are good public transport links to all over the city, and you can walk to the centre quickly.
What we liked the most
- The apartment has both hot and cold AC, perfect for any time of year.
- As well as the closet and shelving, there is extra storage space above the bathroom, to keep the studio uncluttered.
- From here you can walk to the centre of Rome and all there is to see there in about 30 minutes (passing Vatican City along the way!)
- There are lots of excellent restaurants in the area, including one of the best seafood restaurants in Rome.
Things to keep in mind
- The kitchen does not have an oven, however, it includes a microwave and an electric stove.
