Where to look for a room in Lyon
Villeurbanne and La Doua. Technically its own commune, in practice the science and engineering campus of the metropolis, with Lyon 1 and INSA on the La Doua site and trams T1 and T4 through it. The rents are among the more reasonable you will find this close to a campus.
Guillotière (7th). Across the Rhône from the centre, mixed and loud in the way a genuinely central neighbourhood is, with the riverside faculties a walk away. The most obvious place to find a room, and the one where the listing's exact street matters most.
