Spotahome's opinion

There is a room to rent in this spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with a live-in landlady on Station Road in Portmarnock. The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook, and there is a large living area which is a great space to relax in with a TV, sofa and table and chairs.

There is a supermarket within a 15-minute walk, as well as a few other stores including a butcher, cafe and gas station. The beach is around a 20-minute walk away, while The Velvet Strand is around a half-hour walk away.

What we liked the most

  • There is a balcony which can be accessed through the living room.
  • The bathroom is modern with shower over bath, sink and toilet as well as a large mirror.
  • The kitchen has a dishwasher so you don't need to spend too long cleaning up.
  • There is central heating to keep you warm in the colder months.
  • The apartment has beautiful hardwood floors and neutral decor throughout.

Things to keep in mind

  • Although there is a washing machine, there is no dryer so clothes will need to be hung up to dry.
  • There is no parking available, but there is public transport nearby.
