"Tiergarten
Because I seek a Central Perk

You’ll love this...
It’s dominated by Berlin’s very own Central Park. In fact, Tiergarten is mostly a park.

But you won’t love this...
The rental prices will bring a Tier to your eyes.

Will I like living here?...
Sure. You get historic landmarks, iconic spots, and one hell of a park.

While taking a Tiergarten stroll, stop at the famous Café am Neuen See for a lakeside beer.

Check out the museums, monuments, and memorials – sombre reminders of the past, but also evidence of Berlin’s remarkable reinvention.

Of course you can do pretty much anything here, day or night. But while you decide, sit in the sun at Schleusenkrug, a very fine beer garden.

Need a bar? Head to Kumpelnest 3000. It’s kitschy, in a cool way.

And if you’re bored...
Restaurant Facil: 2-Michelin-star restaurant in a stunning setting. There goes your weekly food budget. Google rating: 4.7/5 And this Google review nails it: “The Chinese people I was with did not want to go home!” – Are they still there?

Anything else?
Obviously, it’s expensive. If you’re on a tight budget, think ‘bed in a shared room’. It’s all you need in this great city anyway.

And did you know?…
Tiergarten park was originally a hunting ground, created in the 16th century when the Elector of Brandenburg had wild animals brought to the garden and it was fenced off so they couldn’t escape.

But the pastime faded, the city expanded, and the land was claimed for development. The poor old Elector of Brandenburg… having to give up his hunting ground. Gentrification, eah.
