Charlottenburg is actually a sweet spot for students.
It’s handy to the city and the campus, and there are some affordable rooms on offer.
It might not be party central, but Moabit is next door if you need a dance floor.

The famous Amber Room was originally intended for the Charlottenburg Palace, but the golden panels went missing during WWII.
The Amber Room you see today in the Catherine Palace (near Saint Petersburg) is actually a reconstruction, and the original has yet to be located.
