CEU Cardenal Herrera University — known as CEU UCH — is a private Catholic university whose history dates back to a private law school founded in Valencia in 1971; the university obtained its current legal status from the Generalitat Valenciana for the 2000–2001 academic year. The main campus sits in Alfara del Patriarca, eight kilometres north of the city centre, and is complemented by the Palacio de Colomina building inside Ciutat Vella for postgraduate programmes. CEU UCH hosts more than 13,000 students from over 100 nationalities, with degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary, pharmacy, communication, law, business, architecture and design.

CEU UCH coordinates incoming students through its International Relations Office, with bilateral agreements across Europe, Latin America and Asia. Around 35% of the student community is international, which makes the Alfara campus one of the most multicultural in the region. Daily life mixes the calm of Alfara — a small village on the edge of the Huerta — with the buzz of Valencia city: students commute by metro into Benimaclet for evening tapas, head to Russafa for live music, or to Malvarrosa for the beach.

Three to four months ahead of the term. CEU UCH opens its main intake in early September, and the medical and veterinary cohorts arrive a few weeks earlier. Booking online from your home country avoids competing for student housing along the metro line 3 corridor.
Every listing on Spotahome is verified before publication, so the photos and floor plans you see reflect the actual property. If anything doesn't add up on arrival, report it within twenty-four hours and the team will help with mediation, relocation or another solution.
The deposit is set by the landlord, usually one or two months of rent. On listings tagged "Deposit protected", Spotahome refunds the deposit directly if the landlord doesn't return it within three months of moving out and you've met the contract terms. There are also many properties without a deposit, easy to filter from the search.
No. You'll need an ID or passport, your CEU UCH enrolment confirmation and a payment method. After the landlord accepts the booking, they may request proof of solvency and a SEPA direct debit to finalise the contract.
The monthly rent always includes rent, the IBI property tax and condominium fees. Utilities such as electricity, water, gas and Wi-Fi are included in many listings but not in all. Personal expenses like groceries, toiletries and optional services such as a weekly cleaner or parking are never included. Read the listing description carefully so the move-in day brings no surprises.
