What happens if the accommodation is not what you expected when you arrive?

With Spotahome you have 24 hours to let us know if you are satisfied with the accommodation and everything related to it. If something about the property is not as advertised, please let us know within this timeframe so that we can resolve it or offer you other options.

What is the minimum stay I have to comply with?

As a general rule, all Spotahome contracts require a minimum stay of 30 days, regardless of the country. However, some owners may set a longer minimum stay for their property. This information is clearly specified in the description of the advertisement.

Can I easily extend my stay?

To extend your stay, first talk to the owner to make sure they agree. Once you have their approval, contact Spotahome to request a discount code. We offer you a 100% discount on our booking fee for the extension.

Once you receive the code, simply make a new booking request on the same listing and apply the code on the checkout page. Make sure the extension meets the minimum stay requirement for the city you are booking in. The system will charge a full month's rent, which will be transferred to the owner once the new booking starts.

What happens if I need to leave earlier than agreed?

If you need to move out early, first inform your landlord as soon as possible and ask about early termination policies, such as possible fees or notice periods. Review your lease to know your rights and responsibilities, and make sure you understand any fees or notice requirements. Then, talk to your landlord to reach an agreement and document everything in writing. Finally, contact Spotahome to notify us about your anticipated move.

Do all accommodations include internet?

Almost all of our accommodations include Wifi. But if you want to be 100% sure, use the Wifi filter as a requirement for your initial search or simply read the description of the advert carefully.

How will my deposit be handled at the end of the rental period?

At Spotahome we make sure that you receive your deposit back, even if the landlord doesn't, as long as you have complied with the terms of the rental agreement managed through us.

This means that:

  • You have paid the full rent and utility bills.

  • You did not leave the property early or break the contract without the necessary notice.

  • You handed over the property in good condition, with no damage beyond normal wear and tear.

  • You have the possibility to present documentation proving proper and responsible use of the accommodation.

If everything is in order, your deposit will be returned within 90 days.
