Spotahome's opinion
This 1-bedroom apartment for rent on Avenue de la Toison d’Or is a fantastic space with a balcony and a great view from the 4th floor. Other than in the 1½ bathrooms, you’ll find beautiful wood floors throughout, as well as modern furnishings. The balcony can be accessed from the bedroom or from the open-concept living and dining room area, and there are also flat screen TVs in both spaces. The kitchen is compact, but so well designed that it’s not only equipped with all the necessities, but includes ample storage and a dishwasher, which is sure to make your life easier.
The apartment is located as close to the city center as you can get in Ixelles, which may not be the oldest neighborhood in Brussels, but is certainly one of the largest and busiest. All you need is to look down at the street from your balcony to get a sense of the its liveliness. There is a large presence of immigrants and expats in this upscale area, which adds to an already colorful atmosphere. If you’re searching for a more assorted array of foods and product, you might just find what you want in local boutiques, shops, markets and restaurants. Close to three different parks, there is plenty of green space to relax, and you might need to, because among other things Ixelles is a hotspot for nightlife!
What we liked the most
- The apartment is practical, gorgeous and cozy. Plus, it has a fantastic balcony!
- The neighborhood is the go-to place for specialty food items and other products that you can’t find in elsewhere in the city.
- The metro stops practically right outside your door.
- You’re only a 20-minute walk from the city center.
