Swords is the place to be if you’re young, love going out, and shopping is a favourite hobby. There's the popular Pavilions Shopping Centre, as well as a huge Penneys. It's also widely recognised as Ireland's fast food capital. Ok, so it’s a bit of a trek to Dublin. But there’s so much to do here!
Swords is 13 kms north of Dublin city and it takes around 45 minutes by bus. But if you fancy a weekend away, you’re just 4 kms from the Dublin Airport. Many airport workers live in Swords because it’s such an easy commute. Make friends with them, and you’ve got a free ride to the airport!
