London is a big place and it is famous for a whole number of things. If you’re here for the trendy nightclubs, cool vintage shopping and to rub shoulders with the hippest of crowds, you might want to try Brixton or Bethnal Green.
How do I get Around?
There are no Underground stations in Lewisham so you’ll have to rely on the National Rail and bus services. There are plenty of them though, so moving around London won’t be a problem.

The area has a bunch of new housing projects and is very much becoming a highly modern part of the city. It’s also home to the immensely popular Brockley Market, where you can shop for locally produced fresh food every Saturday.
What can I do here?...
Get a great start to your days off by having brunch in one of many, many excellent cafés. London cafs these days are known for contemporary menus, accommodating vegans and health nuts and pretty much anyone. If you’re ever in mood for greasy english tradition though, Lewisham has just the spot.
At Maggie’s on Lewisham Road you can enjoy grease like nowhere else. We recommend you create your own Full English. 20 Items to choose from, not a single one of them contains avocado.
Don’t worry though. There are places serving sourdough-toast covered in hummus as well.
I’m still not convinced...
You won’t have to travel north of the River to one of the more famous vantage points to enjoy great views of the London skyline. In Lewisham you will be close to Telegraph Hill Park. Go here to enjoy green grassy spaces, great tasting coffee at the co-operative café Hill Station and, of course, the spectacular outlook of your massive and beautiful hometown.
