Do you prefer small-town living? Consider moving to Cecchignola…
This quiet neighborhood was originally inhabited by the workers who built the nearby EUR district (now residential and business district). It’s a more modern looking area, with many of the buildings having been constructed in the post-war period.
It’s not super close to Rome’s major universities, but with the various public transportation options you’ll have no trouble getting to class.
Being far from the center does have its perks, though. Renting an apartment is more affordable here, so you get more bang for your buck.
