Going home for a large lunch and a nap is as Italian as it gets. It’s one of the many reasons it pays to live near campus. Plus, no need to splurge on public transportation everyday.
Students like to live near IED because Pigneto, the local area, is trendy and fairly central. You can easily get to the center on tram 3, or head over to Trastevere for a younger crowd and hip nightlife.
The further you go from the center, the more money you can expect to save. Pigneto is a good place to live on a budget. Still, you’ll be living near the scenic Tiber River and lots of pretty parks.
